Why do we need you ?

The Manager of Product Information Management is a key role on the Marketing team that holds oversight for effective product data and digital assets for CertainTeed's extensive portfolio of products. Partnering closely with IT and business units, this individual oversees a centralized team in marketing that leads our Product Information Management and Digital Asset Management initiatives, creating guidelines and standards for effective marketing assets, building processes and best practices, and partnering closely to ensure CertainTeed has the most effective product data and assets to facilitate findability and awareness and promote product preference. This role will be tasked with ensuring consistency across teams and setting the foundation for quality data that can be syndicated across different channels and customers.

  • Establish and implement robust data governance policies and procedures for building and maintaining product information
  • Responsible for ensuring seamless collaboration in processes, standards, and ongoing maintenance of accurate, organized, effective product information for more than 12k SKUs
  • Drive optimal data architecture and format to allow flexibility, syndication, and agility to best service current and future business and marketing needs across all potential platforms.
  • Guide decisions and practices that will facilitate ideal end use of product data as a powerful, predictive tool for business.
  • Responsible for maintaining currency of data standards and compliance with all relevant systems, policies, and regulations.
  • Responsible for overseeing and collaborating on creation and organization of multi-media assets, including images, video, infographics, photography, brochures, design files, and additional resources that provide product-project fit guidance for customers and influence purchase
  • Collaboratively guide the adoption of best practices for asset creation, naming, and storage
  • Hold and share accountability for accuracy, validity, and optimization of data and assets, and will develop and lead processes for routine cleansing, as well as collaborating to build frameworks that reinforce validity.

The successful candidate will bring robust experience building and organizing assets, deep familiarity with principles of strong data and asset management, a mindset of solutions architecture, a collaborative nature that puts team and business first, and a passion for bringing these skills together for the creation and syndication of excellent product information.

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in the required field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience overseeing product information management or a closely related body of work.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles.
  • Fluency in PIM and DAM systems and technologies.
  • Experience working with marketing and IT teams, and with product management.
  • Experience with business processes definition and process improvement.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Customer-centric perspective with a focus on effective asset creation.
  • Experience in ecommerce platforms and data syndication.
  • Experience in digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and team leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Product Information Management or Master Data Management (PIM and MDM) systems, Stibo preferred
  • Knowledge of Digital Asset Management systems
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Requirements gathering/technical documentation writing skills and work experience.
