We are searching for an experienced AutoCAD Civil 3D drafter/designer who seeks opportunities to advance their career through collaboration and company-sponsored training. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team-focused, and humble.

We are seeking a professional to Designer/Drafter to join our team and provide AutoCAD Civil 3D support in solid waste/environmental projects for diverse clients. This role involves drafting for horizontal construction, generating profile views and cross-sections, as well as detailed grading, and construction documentation. You will work collaboratively with our engineers and receive team support for independent task completion. Flexible reporting to Tampa office with remote, hybrid, or in-office options in the Southeast, contingent on experience.

How you can make an impact

  • Perform preparation of sheet sets, designing, drafting, detailing, and graphics layout with limited supervision.
  • Prepare site plan layouts from existing maps, incorporate corrections to existing drawings, evaluate existing conditions surveys, etc.
  • Prepare permit and construction level documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform volume calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to create design surfaces, manage topographical survey surfaces, and integrate design surfaces into existing conditions
  • Apply and follow appropriate AutoCAD standards and best practices
  • Support all aspects of drafting or AutoCAD under the supervision of the lead professional

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in drafting required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required
  • 2+ years of experience in civil and site grading experience required
  • Preference for candidates that have engineering consulting firm experience
  • Position would report to our Tampa office, but full-time remote work is possible based on candidate experience
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required

The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience and location. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
