Olin Winchester LLC ("Winchester"), a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern. This position will be located at the Independence, MO manufacturing site.

Examples of Maintenance - Intern Daily Activities:

  • Assist with creating new equipment specifications and may serve as the engineering representative on small capital projects.
  • Work with equipment suppliers and other vendors and contractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Assist with providing reliability leadership for instruments, valves and the plant's electrical supply equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, gathering and analyzing data.
  • Participate in plant turnarounds/outages.
  • Update P&IDs of plant processes with instrumentation.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures for Preventative/Predictive maintenance.
  • Review, modify and create Preventive/Predictive Maintenance plans for specific equipment.
  • Support plant and Operational and Maintenance Excellence goals, including continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing initiatives.

Position Specific Requirements:

  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree program. Preference given to students located within 50 miles of the assigned Olin location.
  • Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.
  • Must have completed sophomore year prior to first assignment with Olin.
  • Ability to work full time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) May - August 2024. Not eligible for virtual work.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa.
  • A Valid US Driver's license is required.
