Required Work Experience:12-15+ Years Relevant Experience in Defense and Aerospace Managing Tier One OEM's

Broad Function: Manages the assigned Line of Business (LoB), or assigned segment thereof, by providing leadership, and direction to execute programs to meet both business and program objectives, maintaining and strengthening customer relationships, supporting the TTM Aerospace and Defense growth objectives and developing assigned resources (both direct and indirect reports). May include leading design teams via PM Process map and being responsible for day to day project tasking, meeting Program customer requirements, cost goals, and schedule, as well as developing/generating follow-on business. Provides direction, leadership and development for assigned teams. Customer Point of Contact and can manage a portfolio of projects and/or highly complex programs for Tier 1 customers. Will have direct reports including Project/Program Managers, PMP Engineers, and Project Coordinators.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Management & Program Execution

  • [FUTURE] Responsible for generating and maintaining LoB business plan (revenue, technology, growth) which is aligned with TTM strategic business and technical goals.
  • Responsible for meeting delivery and financial performance goals of LoB; support rigorous business cadence of program and functional reviews (as defined by management)
  • Utilizes and enforces the standard business tools for tracking program and financial performance (including accuracy/validity of cost estimates and models) of the LoB.
  • Monitors progress and effectiveness of all LoB projects on a regular basis and implements corrective actions as required.
  • Ensures that program execution issues are resolved in an efficient and cost effective manner, including cross department resources when necessary
  • Responsible for supporting long-range business and technical strategies consistent with business and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Manage key/critical programs as business needs dictate.
  • Develops high-level plans to meet both project and product cost targets. Reports progress to appropriate management levels.
  • Responsible for supporting assigned goals and objectives. These include, but are not limited to market, product, technology, customer penetration, revenue growth and profit.
  • Responsible for meeting assigned customer and program booking, shipment, and financial performance goals; regularly reports to management on progress and performance.
  • Responsible for the implementation of assigned new product development and product / program production readiness.
  • Participates in or leads project meetings and design reviews, and tracks progress of day to day commitments
  • Monitors project progress vs. staffing plan and reports any resource constraints.
  • Make recommendations on changes or work-arounds.
  • Is responsible for ensuring all known or potential risks are identified and mitigation and retirement activities are incorporated into the project plan. Incorporates the documented project management process into all projects.

Team Leadership

  • Sets high-level project goals and objectives for direct reports within assigned LoB/LoB segment. Ensures that the documented project management process is followed by the team in accordance with TTM ISO-9002 requirements
  • Works with RFES Senior Management and LoB Directors as applicable to establish and maintain a system for efficiently allocating and managing program management resources within the group
  • Provides mentorship in the development of Project Management personnel by providing coaching, guidance, and training as assigned or required.
  • Responsible for the development of individuals who have potential for further responsibility & growth in the Business Area.
  • Develops written job descriptions, performance standards, objectives and measurements for all assigned staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage direct reports including personnel matters, reviews/discipline, and career development.

Customer& New Scope/Business Management

  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and product quality.
  • Responsible for the accuracy/validity of cost models, and sets costs targets, management reserves are established and implemented. Responsible for assigned program commitments and financial objectives are obtained.
  • Responsible for ensuring future costs and pricing meets internal margin demands.
  • Responsible for production cost and pricing targets, GM and overall financial objectives.
  • Supports LoB pricing strategies that meet cost and profit goals for new business non-recurring engineering efforts, Internal R&D (IRAD), and recurring pricing/Long Term Agreements (where applicable).
  • Responsible for supporting the overall customer management strategy as defined in the LoB business plan
  • Responsible for building, maintaining and strengthening customer relationships for established programs, while seeking collaborative opportunities within customer base for adjacent and future programs
  • Interfaces with key customer personnel, internal business development, sales managers and outside representatives.
  • Responsible for supporting Bids and Proposals for development programs and new business per proposal process map (includes setting costs targets of products and projects, supporting TCoPD TINA and/or CAPA data analysis as required). This includes generating program artifacts to facilitate efficient baselining in anticipation of contract award.
  • Work within TTM enterprise and program quality groups to ensure TTM quality standards and customer expectations are met.
  • Interfaces with key customer personnel, internal business development, sales managers and outside representatives.
  • Responsible for building, maintaining and strengthening customer relationships for established programs, while seeking collaborative opportunities within customer base for adjacent and future programs
  • Acts as management escalation level as customer situations dictate

  • Ability to generate and analyze product and program cost structures and the impact to gross margin and profit.
  • Takes a broad view and incorporates potential risks during the development of all plans while maximizing the application of resources.
  • Familiarity with and utilization of structured company problem solving techniques.
  • Must be able to support technical reviews of the products and understand the key performance attributes and trade offs
  • Acts as Project or Program Sponsor.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to juggle multiple complex tasks and independently make quality decisions
  • Demonstrates ability to manage complex programs that include integration of technologies, product multi-variants, qualification execution, and multiple customers and/or across multiple TTM facilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business with 10 years of related Aerospace & Defense experience.
  • Broad based program management experience: Evidence of managing large efforts involved in both product development (full life cycle: concept through production release) and service-type programs, successfully delivering cost, schedule and financial outcomes
  • Customer service orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
  • PMI Certification preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefit options include medical, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accident benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, paid vacation & holidays. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$143,433 - $252,244

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
